This year, show organiser TTG Asia Media has planned a host of incentives to attract a targeted 600 buyers and travel managers from the international MICE (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions & Exhibitions) and corporate travel industries. The new campaign for the 14th IT&CMA (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meetings Asia) and 9th CTW (Corporate Travel World) Asia-Pacific has kicked off using “Pure Magic: A World of Incentives” theme.

To be held from 10 to 12 October 2006 for the second and last time in the Pattaya Convention and Exhibition Hall (PEACH) in Thailand, the Doublebill event (two shows in one location) promises delegates who register early to enjoy a range of incentives such as 50 per cent discount on registration fees, complimentary hotel stay in Bangkok, shopping and dining vouchers, choice of deluxe hotel in Pattaya, welcome massages, limited-edition souvenirs and an opportunity to go on one of the post-show incentives trips.

“Pure Magic: A World of Incentives is the perfect theme for our shows this year. We are returning to one of the basics of what a MICE event is all about – working together with the best of Asia-Pacific destinations to offer the red carpet treatment to a special target audience – a bedrock on which the MICE and corporate travel industries rest,” said Mr Darren Ng, Managing Director, TTG Asia Media Pte Ltd.

To showcase and put Asia-Pacific’s diverse and exotic destinations on the Incentive World Map, Asian convention visitor bureaus and national tourism organisations are encouraged to host special post-show incentive trips for important buyers, travel managers and media. Unlike familiarisation tours for travel agents, CVBs and NTOs are urged to collaborate with their private sector partners to organise the most creative, most purposeful and best-managed incentive travel programmes that promises IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific participants an experience of a lifetime.

Supported by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) and Thai Airways International (Official Airline), IT&CMA and CTW Asia-Pacific 2006 aim to bring 1,700 trade delegates together to learn, exchange information and do business during the three-day conference and exhibition.

Delegates can also expect to find extensive networking opportunities at all the social functions weaved into the official programme. For the first time, a special “Meet-the-Press” luncheon will be staged on 10 October where all delegates will meet and network with representatives from more than 20 Official and Supporting Publications worldwide.

IT&CMA and CTW Asia Pacific were co-located since 2004 and have been held in Thailand for the last four years (2002 to 2004 – Bangkok and 2005 – Pattaya).
