AsiaWorld-Expo is delighted to launch its newly renovated Hall 2 as AsiaWorld-Summit, Hong Kong’s newest and largest indoor conference and banqueting venue. As an integral part of the AsiaWorld-Expo complex, the fully carpeted AsiaWorld-Summit combines state-of-the-art infrastructure and logistics services with a team of award-winning chefs to meet the needs of even the most sophisticated business and social events. Whether it’s an event for 700 or up to 5,000, the consummate expertise of AsiaWorld-Summit ensures that organisers and event participants enjoy an impeccable, hassle-free experience.
AsiaWorld-Summit is already proving that it has the world-class facilities and expertise to host large-scale conferences and banquets. Today, the venue welcomes some 1,200 delegates from Japan who are attending the DIANA Co. Ltd. incentive and conference event. This high-profile occasion features a lavish award ceremony, conference and seminar and gala dinner, all hosted at AsiaWorld-Summit, and all drawing on the acclaimed culinary and event planning expertise of AsiaWorld-Expo. To complete the experience, AsiaWorld-Summit has collaborated with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to arrange for a stunning performance of traditional lion dance for all 1,200 delegates to experience the unique culture of the modern East-meets-West Hong Kong.
“AsiaWorld-Summit was the perfect choice for our event,” remarked Mr Masaki Homma, President, DIANA Co. Ltd. “The logistics of organising an event of this kind can be very complex, but AsiaWorld-Summit made it a simple and hassle-free experience. From the quality of the facilities, and the comprehensive range of services and support, through to the excellent catering, we were thrilled to have chosen this truly world-class venue.”
Looking ahead, AsiaWorld-Summit will be welcoming many more high-profile events in 2009. These include the return of the world’s biggest and most important gathering of the global freight forwarding industry, Sino-International Freight Forwarders Conference, which comprises a conference, exhibition, extensive F&B services and a full gala dinner for thousands of delegates from around the world. Other noteworthy events include the Global Mayors Forum in September 2009.
“Our ability to organise and host a great variety of conference and banqueting events makes AsiaWorld-Summit the undisputed market leader in Hong Kong,” said Mr Allen Ha, Chief Executive Officer, AsiaWorld-Expo Management Limited.
“Our close, collaborative relationships with many nearby leisure destinations and hotel facilities, such as Hong Kong Disneyland Resort and Ngong Ping 360, also ensures an event experience that is unique in Asia.”
Mr Anthony Lau, Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, said, “We congratulate AsiaWorld-Expo on the launch of the AsiaWorld-Summit, which serves as another testimony of AsiaWorld-Expo’s world-class facilities for MICE events. The Hong Kong Tourism Board has been pleased to collaborate with AsiaWorld-Expo and endeavoured to bring a unique experience to DIANA’s delegates at this new venue. The Board will also continue to work closely with the Government and MICE trade partners, including AsiaWorld-Expo, to attract more MICE events to Hong Kong.”
