Tiger Airways adds flights on successful Melbourne – Darwin route

Tiger Airways has added an extra weekly service on its popular Melbourne – Darwin route, increasing the frequency of flights from six weekly services to seven, to meet increasing demand.

Starting from 07 August 2010, the additional weekly flight is on sale now for travel through to 31 March 2011. Fares start from as low as $98* one way on the Melbourne- Darwin route.

Tiger Airways Australia Commercial Director, Steve Burns, says the airline is thrilled to not only return services to the Top End but also to be adding extra services so soon after commencing flights on the Melbourne – Darwin route last month.

“Since our flights from Melbourne to Darwin commenced on 18 June 2010, we have seen very strong demand for our consistently lowest fares on this route. We’re confident that the addition of an additional flight will prove popular with our customers, providing even more reasons to travel between Victoria and Darwin, more often for much less,” says Mr Burns.

Mr Burns urges people wanting to seek the most affordable airfares for domestic flights around Australia to sign up to the e-newsletter on the website homepage to keep informed about latest news and sales information directly from Tiger Airways.
