ANA Group bolsters international connectivity in FY2024 with expanded route network

ANA - All Nippon Airways

ANA Group announces FY2024 flight schedule, focusing on expanding international routes, including European and Asian destinations, and enhancing customer service with the integration of ANA, Peach, and AirJapan.

ANA Holdings Inc. (ANA HD) has announced a comprehensive flight schedule for the fiscal year 2024 (FY2024), spotlighting the company’s dedication to enhancing customer convenience and maximizing profitability. This announcement underscores ANA HD’s strategic commitment to sustainable growth in the evolving post-COVID landscape.

Koji Shibata, President and CEO of ANA HD, emphasized the importance of the international flight business for the upcoming fiscal year. “Our goal is to fully reinstate international routes that were paused during the COVID-19 pandemic and introduce new destinations. This expansion allows us to cater to a broader customer base, reinforcing our commitment to sustainable growth,” said Shibata.

Expanding European Presence

Central to ANA’s strategy is the strengthening of its European network. Starting in the summer, the Haneda-Vienna route will recommence, and the Haneda-Munich and Haneda-Paris routes will be upgraded to daily services. Winter 2024 will see the launch of new routes including Haneda to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul, demonstrating ANA’s confidence in these markets and commitment to global connectivity.

Enhancing Asian Routes

Recognizing consistent demand, ANA will augment its Asian network. From March 31, the airline will increase flights on the Haneda-Beijing and Haneda-Shanghai (Pudong) routes to a double daily basis. The Narita-Hong Kong route, another key market, is set to resume operations on April 16, marking a significant step in rebuilding ANA’s Asian network.

AirJapan’s Role in Network Expansion

Complementing ANA’s strategy, AirJapan will play a pivotal role in network expansion. The airline will enhance its Narita-Bangkok route to a daily service starting April 30, as it welcomes its second aircraft. This expansion demonstrates AirJapan’s growing significance within the ANA Group and its contribution to the group’s overarching growth strategy.

A Comprehensive Approach

The ANA Group’s approach for FY2024 is multidimensional, leveraging the strengths of its three brands – ANA, Peach, and AirJapan. This expansion is not just about adding new destinations; it’s about offering diverse travel options to customers and maximizing the synergies between the brands to cater to varying market demands.

As ANA HD navigates the post-COVID environment, its focus on strategic and targeted development to meet growing demand is clear. The expanded international route network for FY2024 is a testament to ANA Group’s commitment to providing exceptional service and enhancing its global footprint, all while adhering to its mission of sustainable growth.
