Airbus Aerostructures partners with Qarbon Aerospace (Thailand) for manufacturing A320 Family Vertical Tail Plane leading edge components, enhancing Thai aerospace sector’s growth and collaboration.

BANGKOK, THAILAND – Airbus Aerostructures, a subsidiary of Airbus, has chosen Qarbon Aerospace (Thailand) as a partner for the production of A320 Family Vertical Tail Plane (VTP) leading edge parts. These are the front parts of the vertical surface of the tail section of the aircraft.

The official contract award ceremony took place at the Qarbon’s facility in Mabyangporn, Rayong, where representatives from both companies celebrated this milestone agreement. The contract builds on Qarbon’s existing work for Airbus, providing parts and components made in Thailand for the A320 Family, A330 Family and A350.

These parts will be shipped to Airbus Aerostructures’ production facilities in Stade, in the region of Hamburg, Germany, for the VTP assembly.

The event in Rayong underscored the strong collaboration between Airbus and Thai enterprises, highlighting the significance of local engagement and the potential for further growth in the region.

We thank Airbus for the continued confidence in Qarbon Aerospace, in delivering a successful work package for the A320 Family VTP leading edge parts. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality components that reflect Airbus’ trust. We look forward to a successful collaboration and further growth in the Thai aerospace sector,” said Qarbon Aerospace (Thailand) General Manager, Matthew Gaudion.

This selection exemplifies Airbus’ confidence in Qarbon Aerospace’s capabilities. It also reinforces Airbus’ commitment to developing our local partnerships in Thailand. We look forward to further building on our presence in the country with our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders,” said Airbus Country Representative for Thailand, Bert Porteman.
