Air Canada Newcomer Program

Exclusive deals with selected pet partners and in-flight connectivity options enhance the moving experience.

HONG KONG – Air Canada has launched a Newcomer Program webpage to help Hong Kong arrivals find the information they need when moving to Canada. Travellers can now enjoy a limited-time discount1 when booking a one-way flight to Canada and enjoy a stress-free journey, while pet owners can also relocate with their pets hassle-free with Air Canada’s selected pet partners.

Pets are also part of the family, and Air Canada wants them to be at ease too. Air Canada is currently the only carrier operating non-stop between Hong Kong and Canada that allows pets in-cabin. Travellers can bring their cats or small dogs into the cabin provided it is small enough to stand, turn around and lie down in its carrier under the seat.

To make relocating to Canada with pets hassle-free, Air Canada is offering exclusive deals with selected pet partners who specialize in relocating pets to any part of the world3. With Pet Movers HK, which has over twenty years of pet relocation experience, travellers can enjoy a credit discount and treat pets to a one-way premium escort service with their Mercedes Benz Vito fleet to the Hong Kong International Airport.

Alternatively, relocate pets through the one-stop portal Pet Holidays Hong Kong, which is offering an Air Canada-exclusive program for HK$5,000, waiving fees for issuing export documents and also offers a pick- up service in Hong Kong (excluding Outlying Islands district).

Staying Connected on the Way

Once on board, the flight to Canada, passengers can ask a flight attendant for a free SIM card and activate it during the flight from the comfort of their seat. They’ll save time and money and be ready to use their phone the moment they land. Passengers will be able to stay connected with family and friends immediately upon their arrival in Canada, saving all the time and hassle of purchasing a SIM card from a shop.
