TravMedia’s IMM Virtual Australia returns this May

TravMedia’s IMM is the travel industry’s only global media networking event connecting travel and tourism brands with Australia and New Zealand’s top-tier media titles.

Following the success of TravMedia Australia’s inaugural International Media Marketplace (IMM) Virtual, the media networking event returns for IMM Virtual 2021 sponsored my Tourism Australia. Registrations are now open for the event to be held on Wednesday the 5th and Thursday the 6th of May 2021.

TravMedia’s IMM is the travel industry’s only global media networking event connecting travel and tourism brands with Australia and New Zealand’s top-tier media titles. The virtual event has now been successfully implemented in Australia, Asia, Germany, France and North America to bring together travel industry members through TravMedia’s innovative technology

IMM Virtual provides destinations, hotels and tour operators the opportunity to pitch recovery stories and develop lasting relationships with key media contacts, through the comfort of their computers.

Sponsored by Tourism Australia, this two-day networking event provides a seamless virtual meeting space for industry professionals to reboot travel bookings through 16 prescheduled, one-on-one appointments with top travel journalists, editors, broadcasters and digital influencers. Brands will discuss their media plans in this new era of travel, Covid-safe products and pitch new stories. A customised virtual meeting space enables brands to share press releases, meeting documents, website links, images and videos before and after their appointments with the capability to personalise their virtual background.

IMM Virtual provides journalists the opportunity to fill their notebooks with ideas, stories and contacts in preparation for the return of domestic and international travel. It enables them to plan their next years’ worth of stories, features and press trips, without leaving their chairs. Media attendees will meet with some of the biggest brands in travel from hotels, cruise lines, tour operators and tourism boards to learn of their newest product offerings, plan for upcoming travel bubbles and discuss their campaigns for the year ahead

IMM Virtual is the same format you know and trust, run through TravMedia’s bespoke Media Marketplace platform, enhanced with video conferencing capabilities. A total of 16 prescheduled appointments will be held across two days, from 11 am – 3 pm on the 5th and 6th of May, providing attendees a unique opportunity to network and generate earned media coverage. Following the scheduled meetings, brands and media attendees will have the opportunity to further network via intimate breakout sessions allowing for eight hours of networking across two days.

“While we would love nothing more than to bring the industry together physically, it isn’t the right time yet. We’re excited to host the second IMM Virtual Australia in May to bring together travel products and media with the hope of hosting a face-to-face IMM Australia later in the year,” said Nick Wayland, CEO and Founder of TravMedia.

“Since launching IMM Virtual we have also unveiling TravMedia’s Virtual Events Platform allowing destinations to run white-labelled virtual events to connect with global trade partners remotely. We hope to be the go-to solution for large-scale virtual meeting spaces in this new era of digital events.”
