Conrad Jupiters completes its multi-million dollar “face lift”

Conrad Jupiters has set the standard for luxury on the Gold Coast with the completion of an AUS$16 million hotel makeover and the refurbishment of its jewel in the conference crown, the stunning Pavilion Ballroom. The renovations have transformed the resort into one of the most contemporary and stylish hotels on Queensland’s Gold Coast. With seven award-winning restaurants, eight lively bars, a health and fitness centre, year-round swimming pools and spas, Jupiters Casino and Jupiters Theatre, the resort offers everything the leisure and business traveller could possibly want.

Over $2 million was spent on the new Reception, Business Centre and sparkling new Lobby Bar. A sophisticated new Lobby and reception area has been designed for maximum visual impact, whilst paying exceptional attention to both form and function. Striking white and grey onyx features in the decor, whilst the addition of more check-in desks will speed up check in. The new look Lobby Bar offers an intimate setting where guests can relax on arrival, meet up with friends and colleagues, enjoy pre-theatre or post-dinner drinks, or celebrate that special occasion, in a comfortable and stylish environment.

The hotel’s refurbishment has seen the upgrade of 442 Superior hotel rooms.   Fashionable designs and colourings create a fresh, modern aspect, while the hotel’s individual style is celebrated with contemporary artwork by local artist Jillian Bradley. Carefully considered lighting creates a chic, yet calming ambience, whilst extensive tests to find the ultimate bed ensure the perfect night’s sleep.

The new rooms cater to every need, whether for work, rest or play. With high speed broadband connection and a high definition 32”LCD screen with iPod compatible slimline data panel, guests can stay connected to the outside world or escape into a world of their own.

The new Business Centre at the Conrad Jupiters is the perfect place to sit and read the paper, keep in touch with friends via the internet or find space to work with all the latest technology. Featuring glass walls, smooth stone bench tops and comfortable sofas, the Business Centre satisfies all practical and ergonomic criteria and meets the needs of today’s busy life.  From a technological point of view, with four work stations including PCs, high speed connection, printers and LCDs, the Business Centre is more than equipped to cater to guest requirements.

The refurbishment of the hotel’s convention centre has seen the upgrading of its entry ways and walls as well as the re-carpeting of 1,600 square metres of clear convention space. The Executive Reception and Executive Boardroom also received a makeover and the Lobby lift area was overhauled to create a seamless journey for guests from the moment they check in until the moment they reach the door of their hotel room.

Conrad Jupiters’ Pavilion Marquee has also undergone a refurbishment with over $600,000 spent on the construction of solid walls, a timber deck entrance, new flooring and the installation of reverse-cycle air-conditioning.

The completion of the $16 million makeover is the next milestone in Conrad Jupiters’ exciting renewal, following the $53 million casino refurbishment in 2006 which saw the expansion of the Main Gaming Floor, the construction of sprawling balconies, a new casual dining restaurant and two new bars.

Located on seven stunning acres of landscaped gardens and parkland, Conrad Jupiters is just minutes away from Surfers Paradise. The beach and the Oasis Shopping Centre are just a monorail ride away, while the connecting walkways lead you right to the doorsteps of the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and Pacific Fair Shopping Centre.
