AHTEC@FHC China 2012 is confirmed for November 2012

After a very successful AHTEC@HOFEX (Hong Kong) in 2011, the organizing committee agreed that the 2012 conference should be held in the country that has the largest pipeline of hotel projects in the world – China.

AHTEC@FHC China 2012, November 14–15 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) in Shanghai, China, is jointly organized between Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP, the producers of HITEC) and Allworld HKES (the owners of HOFEX, Hong Kong). Guiding the event is Conference Chair Terence Ronson (managing director of Pertlink, Hong Kong).

AHTEC@FHC China 2012 will be unlike any other hospitality technology conference since it now includes a newly formed partnership with the China Hospitality Technology Alliance (CHTA).

“I set a few objectives for AHTEC@FHC, one of which was to provide a platform to the evolving local technology providers of China and expose them to a world class event,” said Ronson. “Having a partnership with CHTA allows us to do that, and I’m delighted make this happen.”

“CHTA is an alliance of China based technology providers, which for the first time gives them a collective presence and voice to educate existing and potential customers about their products and services,” said Zhu Jing, CEO of 3D Networks China and chairperson of CHTA. “As individual companies, they have gained excellent traction in the local market, but it’s now time to expose them globally, and AHTEC@FHC China 2012 is the perfect program to do this.”

In addition to being an education conference, AHTEC@FHC 2012 is a B2B and B2C platform which brings together not only local companies and exposes them to an international audience, it also includes several international companies. This offers companies a unique opportunity to promote their products and service to the largest hotel development pipeline in world. These are end-users and potential local partners. On the flip side, local companies will gain the opportunity to meet with their international counterparts.

The inaugural conference, AHTEC@HOFEX 2011 was an enormous success. Held in May at HOFEX 2011, Hong Kong, 35 international speakers exchanged expertise with over 200 registrants.

“We are very excited about the upcoming program,” said Daniel Cheung, general manager for Hong Kong Exhibition Services Ltd. “The opportunity to give local and international technology providers a unique platform to educate and promote the market about their products and services has never been done before, and being part of this is truly amazing. This will be the hospitality event of 2012.”

AHTEC@FHC 2012 is expected to attract CEOs, CFOs, CIOs, IT directors and heads of operation from various sectors of the industry. Limited sponsorship opportunities remain, please visit the web site for details.

“A primary objective of HFTP is to provide unparalleled education to the hospitality industry and AHTEC@FHC China will be no exception to this,” said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO for HFTP. “The conference program is going to be extremely comprehensive, covering many of the important topics which concern all sectors of the industry, and should not be missed.”

The two-day conference featuring local and international speakers is expected to cover the following subjects:

  • Cloud Computing – What does this mean to you and the business
