Key Data becomes exclusive data partner of Australia’s ASTRA for STR insights

Short Stay rental

Key Data partners with ASTRA to provide comprehensive market data, aiding in policy advocacy and operational benchmarking for Australia’s Short Term Rental industry.

AUSTRALIA – Short-term rental (STR) data specialist, Key Data, has become the exclusive data partner of the Australian Association for STR property managers.

The partnership means that Key Data will provide the Australian Short Term Rental Accommodation Association — known as ASTRA — with industry and market data to be used for education and for informing the government, media, STRA industry and its members on the key insights and trends within the Short Term Rental industry.

ASTRA has been in existence for nearly 8 years. The association’s mission is to represent, protect, and promote the interests of STR owners and managers, to safeguard the quality of STRs and uphold standards of service. ASTRA’s members include a diverse range of STR businesses, from individual property owners to large property management companies.

All ASTRA members will be able to access Key Data’s business intelligence and benchmarking tools at a preferred member rate. This includes over 45 key performance indicators (KPIs), such as average daily rate (ADR), revenue per available rental (RevPAR), occupancy and booking window.

Property managers can easily understand their own performance and benchmark their portfolio against the rest of the market by integrating their booking data directly into the Key Data Dashboard via their property management software (PMS). Key Data is the only STR data provider to aggregate and anonymise direct data from property managers, in addition to scraping data daily from key online travel agents (OTAs), to ensure it offers the most comprehensive market intelligence.

Yoav Tourel, Temporary Board Chair Of Directors at ASTRA, said: “With Key Data as our exclusive data partner, we are poised to usher in a new era of informed advocacy and industry excellence. This partnership empowers ASTRA and its members with the knowledge and insights needed to navigate the evolving landscape of Short Term Rental accommodations successfully.”

Sally Henry, Vice President of Business Development at Key Data, said: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with ASTRA. The Australian short term rental industry has witnessed impressive growth in recent years, and we’re excited to offer key insights for the Australian market to help property managers thrive in an increasingly competitive landscape.

The partnership arrives at the perfect time, as Australian property managers head into peak season. ASTRA will have access to data to help navigate through the Short Term Rental landscape and ASTRA members will have the chance to use our cutting-edge business intelligence tools to adjust their strategies and boost revenues during the busiest time of the year.”
