GeLi Consult brings COTRI Services to Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
HAMBURG – It is known across all markets that service providers need to understand their customers. Nowhere is this truer than in the Chinese outbound tourism industry where a new wave of tourists are ready to be catered for.
The BeNeLux region is no exception where Chinese tourists can tick off three countries in a short amount of time and experience several different cultures and attractions in a comparatively close vicinity. Accordingly, Brussels, Amsterdam and other cities have been on the standard route of the Chinese package tourists for a long time already. The ‘Second Wave’ of self-organised Chinese travellers are now discovering the countryside and smaller cities in the region.
To support this development, China Outbound Tourism Research Institute has agreed with GeLi Consult for them to be their COTRI Country Partner for Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg offering information, research and training for local service providers to work successfully with the Chinese outbound market.
Julia Gessner, Director of GeLi Consult, has been working in different countries for the tourism industry, has longstanding relations with the Chinese market and is accustomed to working in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams with a real strength in serving as the bridge between different groups.
COTRI’s new partnership not only completes their presence in Western Europe but provides a platform and the expertise to develop tourism service quality in the BeNeLux region via the Chinese Tourist Welcome training programmes, quality label, destination label and award as well as market analysis, bespoke market research and consultancy which COTRI can provide through GeLi Consult.
