Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia engages SiteMinder

Voyages Takes a New Online Course for Increased Market Penetration with online distribution company SiteMinder.

AYERS ROCK- Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia has engaged global online distribution solutions provider, SiteMinder, to implement a holistic technology offering and to extend their reach to more online markets around the world.

Voyages’ properties at Ayers Rock Resort in the Northern Territory and Home Valley Station in the East Kimberley in Western Australia will use SiteMinder’s industry-leading Channel Manager to connect their Opera Property Management System (PMS) to multiple online booking channels around the globe.

The seven properties include Longitude 131 and the remote, 40-room Kimberley property, Home Valley Station, where outback scenes in the blockbuster movie ‘Australia’, starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, were filmed in 2008.

SiteMinder Business Development Manager, Don Weraksa, said the company was excited Voyages had chosen SiteMinder to power its online distribution. “Voyages are a respected and well-known brand and we are excited we can offer their unique properties a reliable, fast and efficient distribution platform that will streamline their online operations and optimise their online revenue in what is an increasingly competitive market,” Mr Weraksa said.

SiteMinder’s Channel Manager will provide a seamless, two-way integration between Voyages’ Opera PMS and dozens of high-performing, international booking sites, with reservations from those sites automatically delivered back into their PMS. This will have enormous business efficiency benefits across the Voyages properties.” he said. “This partnership reinforces SiteMinder as a global leader in innovative distribution solutions for accommodation and PMS providers across the spectrum and around the world.

The Executive General Manager Sales, Marketing and Distribution at Voyages, Ray Stone, said: “SiteMinder was selected as our channel management partner because their integrated distribution solution best supported Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia’s revenue management and distribution strategy.

“SiteMinder has permitted us to automate and streamline existing distribution systems and processes, creating significant distribution efficiencies, whilst also allowing us to strengthen and further expand our distribution network through the wide range of partnerships they have established with key domestic and international online travel agents,” Mr Stone said.

Owned by the Indigenous Land Corporation, Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia manages Ayers Rock Resort and works with local indigenous communities on sustainable, environmental tourism practices that create employment and training. Profits from all business activities are re-invested in indigenous and resort experiences and in training and development programs for local communities.

SiteMinder is a multi-award winning online distribution company whose products are trusted and used by more than 7000 accommodation providers in over 100 countries worldwide to help increase online revenue, streamline business process and drive down the cost of acquisition.
