SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) has signed an agreement with SR Technics, one of the world’s leading providers of technical solutions to airlines, for component and maintenance services for Vietjet’s A320 and A321 fleet, beginning in March 2016.
Worth US$60 million, the contract marks a milestone in the relationship between the two companies, expanding on the success of the long term CFM-5B engine services partnership, signed in early 2015.
The signing, which took place at the Singapore Airshow was attended by key officials from Vietjet and SR Technics, as well as Nguyen Tien Minh, Vietnam’s Ambassador to Singapore and Nguyen Nhat, Vietnam’s Deputy Minister of Transport.
Speaking at the event, Jeremy Remacha, interim CEO of SR Technics said, “We are honoured to be a strategic partner to Vietjet. This agreement further enhances our commitment and demonstrates the continued confidence that both organisations have in each other. We thank Vietjet for their trust in SR Technics, and look forward to great success together.”
