Vietjet launches new domestic route: Hanoi – Quy Nhon

By launching this new route, Vietjet hopes to expand business and travel trade between the two destinations by offering more travel opportunities at the best possible prices.

SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) has announced the launch of its new domestic route connecting Hanoi and Quy Nhon.

The announcement was made during an official ceremony earlier in the week to mark the unveiling of the new Phu Cat Airport in Quy Nhon City. The ceremony was attended by leaders from Vietnam’s Ministry of Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Vice Director of Vietjet Board of Management, said, “Quy Nhon is one of Vietnam’s best kept secrets, a place of beauty and history. Tourists will love to discover this enchanting destination. Meanwhile, we hope that this new route will further boost business trade between Hanoi and Quy Nhon.

By launching this new route, Vietjet hopes to expand business and travel trade between the two destinations by offering more travel opportunities at the best possible prices. The airline currently operates a flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Quy Nhon. These routes are expected to tap growing demand for air travel throughout the Binh Dinh Province.

While expanding its flight network, Vietjet will continue to take delivery of additional aircraft throughout 2015 and beyond as part of the order for 100 aircraft from Airbus. This will enable us to offer tourists and businessmen more flying opportunities and high-quality services at low prices consistently,” added Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung.

The new route will commence operations on 26 April 2015 but tickets will be available for purchase from 26 January 2015 onwards. The flight will depart from Hanoi at 10.25am (local time) and arrive at Quy Nhon at 12.00pm (local time). The return flight will take off from Quy Nhon at 12.35pm (local time) and arrive in Hanoi at 2.10pm (local time). The flight duration for each sector is approximately 1 hour 45 minutes.

Tickets can be purchased by booking online at www.vietjetair.com or via VietJet’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/vietjetairvietnam.

Since Vietjet started its operations three years ago, the airline has doubled its commercial fleet, resulting in the transportation of approximately over eight million passengers thus far. Vietjet currently operates 28 domestic and international routes. It offers daily flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City where travellers can easily connect to other cities within Vietnam via the airline’s extensive network of domestic flights. In addition, other international routes include Bangkok, Siem Reap, Taipei and Seoul.
