Two Outrigger Resorts in Thailand, ready for kids and families this summer

The newly opened Outrigger Koh Samui Resort and Spa and the Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas in Thailand have lined up activities and facilities to entertain the whole family during the upcoming Songkran, Easter and summer holiday period.

Outrigger Laguna Phuket Resort and Villas is renowned for its spacious villas, private grounds and large communal spaces and is only a 10-minute free transfer from the powder white sands of Layan beach in Phuket. The hotel’s Nannies With Heart program entertains and educates children between the ages of 2 and 12 for up to eight hours a day, so that parents can cut loose and enjoy themselves. In a separate program, themed parties for children are available with fun food, games and extras such as bouncy castles, clowns, trampolines, magicians and balloon artists.

Between 25 June and 31 October Outrigger Laguna Phuket will run a Summer Family Festival. During the festival, children under 12 dine free and kids staying with Outrigger can each enjoy one free entry into the Kids Fun Zone at Canal Village in the adjoining Laguna Phuket integrated resort. In addition, children under 12 go free on speed boat tours to Naka and Kai islands when accompanied by a paying adult and one child aged 9-16 can play a round of golf for free when with a full paying adult. Back in the hotel, parents can also request one extra bed with breakfast for one child under 12, for free.

Between 25 June and 31 October the Summer Family Festival at the adjoining Laguna Phuket also offers many additional activities for families with kids.

In Koh Samui, the Outrigger Koh Samui Resort & Spa is located on a quiet sandy beach in the northeast of the island. The resort opened its Kids’ Club on 23 March, ready for the family holiday season. In the club, children between three and 10 years old can enjoy supervised activities designed to introduce them to Thai cultural experiences such as Thai dancing, batik painting, language lessons and traditional arts and crafts. Each session is only 300 baht per child, with the fourth session free.

While the kids enjoy the activities, adults can either explore the island or try the resort’s newly renovated fitness club or the Navasana Wellness Center.
