TripIt’s first airport partnership brings stress-free travel to Auckland Airport travelers

The Auckland Airport mobile app, featuring the TripIt integration, will be available in the coming weeks. In the meantime, travelers can sign up for TripIt to start organizing their travel plans.

SAN FRANCISCO – TripIt from Concur, the travel-organizing app, announced that it has signed a partnership with Auckland Airport, making Auckland the first airport to leverage TripIt’s technology to provide stress-free travel to its customers.

In the coming weeks, those flying in and out of Auckland, New Zealand, will have access to the new Auckland Airport app, which includes an integration with TripIt that gives travelers an easy way to organize their travel plans, parking and lounge reservations as well as duty-free purchases—all in one place.

Millions of travelers already turn to TripIt when they are on their way to the airport, checking in or passing through to catch a connection, so we’re especially excited about extending the value of TripIt to other airport experiences and services,” said Jugdeep Bal, Concur’s senior director of business development for TripIt. “By focusing on making the process of flying in and out of Auckland as easy as possible, the team at Auckland Airport is building a one-of-a-kind experience for travelers that we’re thrilled to be a part of.

Through the partnership, Auckland Airport will also help raise awareness in New Zealand of TripIt and TripIt Pro, which sends real-time flight alerts, lets travelers know if a better seat becomes available, makes it easy to find alternate flights, and tracks reward points—along with other perks and member benefits.

We are very excited by this opportunity to partner with one of the world’s most popular travel-organizing apps. The TripIt functionality is a key part of improving our traveler experience beyond Auckland Airport,” said Jason Delamore, Auckland Airport’s general manager of marketing and communications. “We look forward to working with TripIt so that together we can provide our travelers with the best experience possible.
