Travelocity offers big savings in ITS “holiday getaway sale” this season

As the excitement for the holiday season grows, consumers are watching their travel budgets shrink and Travelocity is helping out with huge holiday savings on hotels. Whether planning a relaxing winter escape, or going to grandma’s to cure the year-long craving for pumpkin pie, Travelocity’s “Holiday Getaway Sale” gives travelers the opportunity to save up to 40 percent on more than 8,000 participating hotels in popular holiday destinations.

“We understand the holidays bring plenty of stress, especially when traveling is involved, and we’re helping travelers worry about one less thing this season,” said Victoria Treyger, chief marketing officer, Travelocity North America. “In addition to big savings, we’re also giving our customers who are shopping for hotels added confidence with our new price guarantee.”

This addition to the Travelocity Price and Service Guarantee gives consumers a level of price protection on hotel bookings not available from other online travel sites. While competing sites offer price protection on hotel bookings only when lower prices are found on their respective sites, or only within the supplier’s cancellation window, Travelocity customers who find the same hotel booking for less online (excluding hotels booked using a name-your-own-price or opaque service) any time prior to the day of check-in, can notify Travelocity and receive a refund for the difference in price.
