Location-based networking platform Grafetee enables you to discover new places and events completely anonymously, if you choose to. Using smart geo-fencing technology, the app identifies your location, then displays a public feed of updates from businesses and people in your area. You can then tap to share your own updates with them anonymously, or using your Facebook ID.
Interestingly, unlike other travel apps that only show venues and attractions existing on their databases, Grafetee aggregates data from Wikipedia, Foursquare, and Yelp, along with user-submitted public data. Then, the app further enriches the experience, by allowing users around the world to communicate, sharing thoughts and pictures via Grafetee’s chat room.
The best thing for travellers is that Grafetee can be used to create destination guides by bookmarking real world place and events from the web, directly to their smart devices. Business owners (for example hotels, restaurants, art galleries and so on) can extend their reach to potential customers by adding Grafetee bookmark buttons on any page on a website, allowing visitors to save the data on their smartphones, for easy access on-the-go.
Being both location-aware and time sensitive, Grafetee will then display content to users when it is most relevant to them – for example when they are near the immediate location of the attraction or event.
