Passenger traffic grew by 11.3% over last April Singapore Changi Airport continued to experience healthy growth last month. More than 2.85 million passengers passed through the airport in April 2006, which was 11.3% more than April 2005.

April’s passenger traffic was also slightly higher than March 2006’s passenger traffic by about 3,000 movements, making this April the record month for 2006 thus far. In particular, there were two days in April that clocked the highest passenger movements – the long weekend of 28 and 29 April 2006 which saw daily passenger numbers exceeding 100,000.

In total, the first four months this year brought some 11.08 million passengers through Changi Airport, up by 10.5% from the same period last year.
