Tokyo Skytree launches “Fast Skytree Ticket” for foreign tourists

"Fast Skytree Ticket Counter," is a fast-lane ticket counter allowing foreign tourists with tight schedule to enjoy the view from the immensely popular observation deck without waiting in line for a long time.

TOKYO – Tobu Tower Skytree Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sumida Ward, Tokyo; President: Masaaki Ito) has started selling “Fast Skytree Ticket,” the first admission ticket aimed at foreign visitors to Tokyo Skytree run by the company as part of its efforts to improve convenience and enhance services for foreign visitors to Japan.
 
Specified in the “Tobu Group Midterm Management Plan for 2014-2016” as one of measures to enhance services for foreign visitors to Japan, the admission ticket is sold at “Fast Skytree Ticket Counter,” a fast-lane ticket counter allowing foreign tourists with tight schedule to enjoy the view from the immensely popular observation deck without waiting in line for a long time. 
 
The fast-lane ticket counter opened on Feb. 19 in time for accommodating visitors from the greater China region who are expected to visit Japan in large numbers during the Lunar New Year holidays.
 
As demand for sightseeing in Japan increases, as shown in the number of foreign tourists to Japan exceeding 13 million a year, Tokyo Skytree will develop and introduce a variety of services and amenities to serve foreign tourists, further enhance the acceptance procedure and promote inbound travel activities.
