Tigerair Australia launches web check-in

Tigerair Australia announced the launch of its new Web Check facility across its entire network, allowing customers the convenience of by-passing queues at the check-in counter for a hassle-free flight.

Tigerair Australia Commercial Director Adam Rowe said that Web Check has been introduced in response to overwhelming customer demand and follows on from a number of customer facing innovations launched by Tigerair over the past year including a new in-flight menu, priority boarding, mobile app and self-serve kiosks.

“Our brand is all about value and innovation. We’re an airline that continually evolves based on customer demand and we will continue to review and innovate our product offering in line with the needs of our customers. Tigerair’s Web Check neatly complements the combination of affordability convenience and simplicity that we strive to offer our customers.

Travelling to any of the attractive destinations on our network becomes an even more attractive proposition when you can purchase a seat with Tigerair from $55 (to fly between Melbourne and Hobart for example), check yourself in online and if you have carry-on luggage only, then you simply turn up at the airport and head straight to the boarding gate.”

Tigerair’s Web Check facility is free and allows passengers to check themselves onto their flight between 72 and two hours prior to scheduled flight departure. Passengers with checked luggage can also check-in online and head straight for the dedicated Web Check Bag Drop area for a quick and easy baggage drop.

The key requirement is that customers print their own bar-coded boarding pass and bring it with them to bypass the traditional check-in queue. This also speeds up the baggage drop process for those with checked luggage.
Web Check fits in well with Tigerair’s unique low cost operating model which aims to provide the absolute lowest fare for a seat by allowing the customer to choose what extras they may or may not want to pay for.”

It’s all about choice. We provide a seat for the best possible fare and allow our passengers to select what, if any, optional extras they wish to pay for. If you don’t need checked in luggage and prefer to travel light, simply take advantage of our free of charge carry-on luggage allowance. You can pre-order or purchase means on board. It’s all about empowering the customer to tailor their flight to suit their budget and travel requirements,” said Mr Rowe.

Tigerair’s Web Check is available now at all 12 ports that the airline operates from around Australia. Customers with flight bookings already in place simply need to have their flight confirmation details ready and click on the Web Check icon at www.tigerair.com to start enjoying the convenience of Tigerair Web Check.
