Tigerair Australia celebrates flying 14 million passengers

Lucky 14,000,000th passenger to receive $1,000.00 travel voucher

Tigerair Australia on June 24 celebrates flying its 14 millionth passenger since domestic operations first commenced 23 November 2007, with a flash sale on now until midnight June 24 night (AEST), featuring both Gold Coast routes on sale.

Tigerair Australia Australia Head of Communications, Vanessa Regan, says this is a significant milestone for the airline representing well over half the number of Australia’s total population which have chosen to fly Tigerair.

It’s fantastic that our 14 millionth passenger is travelling tomorrow from Melbourne to the Gold Coast, which was incidentally the very first service the airline operated when the airline launched domestic services in Australia.”

To celebrate, Tigerair has just now put both Gold Coast routes on sale with fares between Melbourne and Gold Coast each way and between Sydney and Gold Coast from each way.

The 14 millionth passenger will be met at Melbourne Airport and presented with a $1000 travel voucher ahead of tomorrow’s 1pm Melbourne to Gold Coast service.

With the recent launch of five new routes and the commencement of our new Brisbane base, including two new aircraft for Australia, we have more domestic flights operating than ever before so we can expect to reach the next major passenger milestone in record time,” says Ms Regan.
