Tigerair Australia announces additional Summer services between Cairns and Melbourne

Airline also announces additional services over peak summer holiday period to cater for extra demand between Melbourne and Cairns delivering close to 3000 additional visitor seats through Cairns Airport between December and January 2016.

A team from Tigerair Australia, including Toby the mascot, arrived in Cairns on 8 September (flight TT 582), to enjoy the fun and excitement of the 2016 Cairns Amateurs Racing Carnival.
 
Tigerair Australia Head of Communications Vanessa Regan said airline management are thrilled to be able to experience the warm hospitality of the tropical north’s premier racing festival to announce the Cairns Trifecta Sale as well as additional services for Cairns to meet growing demand.
 
With our great value fares, everyone’s a winner – tourism, the economy, consumers and Cairns Airport. Over two thousand seats go on sale today on all three of our popular Cairns routes. The secret is to get in quick to avoid disappointment as these sale fares are not expected to last long.
 
Cairns is a popular year round family and leisure favourite destination for Tigerair Australia and we’re continuing to grow our services to the tropical north to meet extra demand. Tigerair Australia now flies up to two daily return services between Melbourne and Cairns, up to two daily return services between Sydney and Cairns and a daily return service between Brisbane and Cairns.
 
Today we put an additional 16 flights between Melbourne and Cairns on sale, providing 2,880 additional visitor seats between the peak travel period of 17 December to 11 January and an additional return service on the route on Saturday 29 October (on Wednesdays and Saturdays).
 
We’ve grown our services year on year by over 50,000 visitor seats delivering over 400,000 visitor seats annually through Cairns Airport and this momentum is set to continue in the coming year.
