The travel agents give the dumping prices while the tourists go to the Internet

The number of the Russian tourists, who prefer booking the holidays online, has been increasing. Such data was received from the survey for the visitors of ATOR web site.

Estimating all the possible services of travel agent, 45% of the respondents are ready to book the holidays independently with the help of special web sites. A growing competition between online resources and travel companies has been already noted long ago. At the same time the experts are puzzled as it’s often cheaper and more secure to buy the tour package from the tour operator. Apparently, the tourists think that good result can be achieved if only they organize the trip by their own efforts. The failure and disappearance of some travel agents also played a negative role in this matter.

As for travel agents, the majority of them admitted, that they had lost some prospective tourists as hadn’t offered any discounts. About 44% of the respondents answered that sometimes lost the client because another agency gave a higher discount to this very client.
