THAI flights Bangkok-Osaka still cancels after airport closure

THAI passengers holding roundtrip tickets between Bangkok and Osaka during 3-15 September 2018 may reschedule flights or reroute to other destinations in Japan which are Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo, within 15 September 2018

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) announced cancellation of flights on the Bangkok-Osaka routes on 5-11 September 2018. For customer’s convenience, passengers who hold THAI’s tickets on Bangkok-Osaka route may reroute to other destinations in Japan without any fees and changes.

Flight Lieutenant Pratana Patanasiri, THAI Vice President, Aviation Safety, Security and Standards, said that due to Typhoon Jebi, THAI has canceled flights between Bangkok and Osaka following the closure of Osaka’s Kansai International Airport as follows:

  1. Flight TG672 which was scheduled to depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 08.25 hours and arrive at Kansai Airport, Osaka, at 15.55 hours (local time).
  2. Flight TG673 which was scheduled to depart from Kansai Airport, Osaka, at 17.35 hours (local time) and arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 21.25 hours.
  3. Flight TG622 which was scheduled to depart from Suvarnabhumi Airport at 23.30 hours and arrive at Kansai Airport, Osaka, at 07.00 hours (local time) on the next day.
  4. Flight TG623 which was scheduled to depart from Kansai Airport, Osaka, at 11.45 hours (local time) and arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 15.35 hours.

THAI passengers holding roundtrip tickets between Bangkok and Osaka during 3-15 September 2018 may reschedule flights or reroute to other destinations in Japan which are Tokyo (Narita and Haneda), Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sapporo, within 15 September 2018. Fees and charges will be exempted with condition applied. Passengers are advised to contact THAI sales offices or THAI Contact Center at Tel. +66(0)2-356-1111, or travel agents.

A special telephone number +66(0)2-356-1166 has been assigned to serve THAI passengers holding Bangkok-Osaka tickets.  THAI will also closely monitor and assess the situation and normal flight operations will be resumed when Kansai International Airport is operational.
