THAI arranges “Young Pilots Summer Camp”

The “Young Pilots Summer Camp” will be held on 7 August 2015 and is open for 70 persons, ages between 10-23. The camp aims to let young people enjoy flying experiences, to emphasize learning outside the classroom and to inspire young children.

Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI) is offering children and young adults an opportunity to attend a one-day “Youth Pilots Summer Camp,” consisting of instruction and training in THAI’s flight simulator on 7 August 2015.
 
Squaden Leader Sathaporn Charoensiri, THAI Executive Vice President of Operations Department, said this is the first time for the Operations Department to conduct such a program. The “Young Pilots Summer Camp” will be held on 7 August 2015 and is open for 70 persons, ages between 10-23. The camp aims to let young people enjoy flying experiences, to emphasize learning outside the classroom and to inspire young children. The activity provides opportunities for primary training in flight, training in emergency situations and training to control the aircraft in Flight Simulators of Boeing 747-400, Boeing 737-400, Airbus 380-800, Airbus 330-300, Airbus 340-500/600 and Airbus 300-600. There will also be educational flight games to win prizes.
 
The entire training will be supervised closely by a THAI captain. Participants will receive a “Young Pilots Summer Camp” T-shirt to wear during the training and will be issued a certificate and a pilot wing pin upon completion.
