Thai Airways Int’l introduces its revamped THAI Gift Card

Thai Airways relaunches its THAI Gift Card. But this time it will be on a permanent basis and can be used like a credit card to pay for tickets or services.

BANGKOK- Thai Airways International (THAI) introduces the THAI Gift Card which may be used in place of cash to pay for air tickets, excess baggage fees, and Royal Orchid Holiday hotel packages, with Royal Orchid Plus mileage accrual. The THAI Gift Card is now on sale.

Danuj Bunnag, THAI Executive Vice President Commercial Department, said that customers can now purchase THAI Gift Cards with an equivalent cash value that can be used to pay for air tickets on all routes through THAI ticket offices throughout Thailand.

THAI Gift Cards may also be used at the airport to pay for excess baggage fees, as well as to purchase Royal Orchid Holiday hotel packages at THAI’s Larn Luang Office. Passengers who use the THAI Gift Cards can also accrue Royal Orchid Plus mileage. THAI Gift Cards come in three distinct designs for three different price packages.

  1. THAI Gift Card with the Boeing 747-400 design at 500 Baht, with 20 miles accrual
  2. THAI Gift Card with the Airbus A330-300 design at 1,000 Baht, with 40 miles accrual.
  3. THAI Gift Card with the Airbus A380-800 design at 5,000 Baht, with 200 miles accrual.

Customers may purchase THAI Gift Cards at THAI ticket offices throughout Thailand.

In another development, Thai announced to start a direct flight between Bangkok and Ahmedabad in India, from April 1, 2013. The airline used to fly to Ahmedabad in the past. It will be the eighth destination in India for Thailand’s national carrier.
