BRISBANE – Brisbane will roll out the welcome mat to some of the world’s leading conference and business event organisers at AIME 2014 in Melbourne this week.
Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau will be exhibiting with some of the city’s business events offerings to showcase what the city has to offer.
Brisbane Marketing Chief Executive John Aitken said Brisbane was going all out to become a world centre for national and international business events.
“As home to the 2014 G20 Leaders Summit, Brisbane is already recognised throughout the world for its capability to host significant events,” he said.
“The Summit will bring 7,000 delegates, including international media, to the city for the most important event Brisbane has held in a generation.
“It will give the world’s top economic decision makers a chance to see first-hand our exceptional conference facilities, hotels and leisure attractions.
“This week at AIME 2014, we’re we’ll be there with our 11 co-partners to show why Brisbane is the city on everyone’s lips.
“Team Brisbane will be out in force to show why Brisbane is a rising star of the Asia-Pacific and a destination of choice for business events.”
Brisbane Marketing Convention Bureau Director Annabel Sullivan said Brisbane’s modern, professional meetings facilities included two major convention centres within minutes of the CBD.
“Brisbane is also home to an exceptional array of hotels, restaurants, shopping and leisure attractions which will enhance any delegate’s experience,” she said.
