Starwood Hotels & Resorts to debut Four Points brand in Singapore

Four Points Singapore, Riverview will open its doors by year-end 2016 following a multimillion-dollar strategic conversion.

STAMFORD, Conn. – Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced that it will debut its booming Four Points brand in Singapore with Keck Seng Hotel Pte Ltd, a unit of Keck Seng Group. Slated to open by year-end 2016, Four Points Singapore, Riverview marks the entry of the brand and further solidifies Starwood’s presence in Singapore.

The signing of Four Points Singapore, Riverview underscores Starwood’s multi-brand growth strategy in the country,” said Rajit Sukumaran, Senior Vice President, Acquisition & Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific. “It is also an example of our conversion-friendly approach and our ability to convert hotels in a short amount of time as we strive to maximize value for our partners and create compelling experiences for our guests.

Located by the Singapore River and within close proximity to the central business district, Four Points Singapore, Riverview will be a strategic conversion from the former Riverview Hotel on 382 Havelock Road. The prime location is also a short distance from Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, which offers a multitude of dining and entertainment options.

With a comprehensive SGD 25 million (approx. USD 17.8 million) renovation and redesign currently underway, Four Points Singapore, Riverview will feature 476 stylish and contemporary guest rooms equipped with thoughtful touches that contribute to an unencumbered, comfortable stay. The hotel will also offer several food and beverage options including an all-day dining restaurant, a Japanese and a Chinese restaurant, and a bar featuring alfresco seating by the river and the brand’s signature Best Brews™ program, showcasing the best local and imported beers. Other hotel facilities will include a fitness center, an outdoor pool and 876 square meters of meeting and ballroom space. In addition, guests will enjoy fast and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, signature breakfast with fresh coffee, and complimentary bottled water.

As the region’s key tourism and MICE destination, Singapore continues to offer both leisure and business travelers a plethora of world-class meeting facilities and entertainment options,” said Charlie Dang, Regional Vice President, Southeast Asia, Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific. “We are confident that Four Points’ focus on reinventing travel by offering guests exactly what they need while on the road will resonate well with locals and travelers alike.

Shirley Wong, General Manager, Four Points Singapore, Riverview added, “We are excited to introduce the compelling Four Points brand in Singapore, delivering an approachable design and stylish comfort for the everyday traveler to the local hospitality scene.

Four Points Singapore, Riverview joins Starwood’s dynamic portfolio in Singapore, where the company currently operates four properties nationwide under its Sheraton, Westin, St. Regis and W brand flags. Keck Seng Group has several properties under their portfolio including W San Francisco, Sheraton Ottawa and Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers.

Four Points has proven to be a global hit with its distinct identity built for the modern everyday traveler. Boasting the largest pipeline in the Starwood Hotels & Resorts portfolio, Four Points recently announced that it has crossed the 200th hotel milestone fueled by unprecedented demand. The brand currently operates 45 hotels in the region, and will more than double its footprint with nearly 50 additional signed hotels in the pipeline.
