Sold out Charity Dinner at Hansar Bangkok raises over USD21,403 to provide fresh drinking water for the Philippines

The funds raised will be channelled through the Junior Chamber International-Cebu Chapter in partnership with Waves for Water organization in conjunction with the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok.

BANGKOK – The sold out Charity Dinner held at Hansar Bangkok on December 4th raised THB 685,846 (USD21,403) for those in need after the devastation of super Typhoon Haiyan. The money will be used to provide a self-sustaining system for fresh drinkable water, specifically for the residents of Leyte. The evening was supported by Bangkok’s Philippines Ambassador H.E. Mrs. Jocelyn S. Batoon-Garcia.

The glamorous evening was entirely sponsored by Bangkok’s best Chefs and Restaurants who volunteered their services and time, as well as donors who generously sponsored items for a silent auction. Proceeds from the silent auction and private donations are still coming in which will increase the total funds.
