SCTA starts licensing travel and tourism agencies

The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SCTA) started on Wednesday October 15, 2008 receiving the investors requests for licensing of travel and tourism agencies in the Kingdom.

This step is the first stage of transferring the supervision of travel and tourism agencies from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) to SCTA, in which the Council of Ministers granted the later the authority of issuing approvals for the operation of tourism activities and jobs, in addition to supervising the Sector.

SCTA and GACA called on all those interested in obtaining a travel and tourism agency license to apply either through its website or SCTA headquarters, or PTOs around the Kingdom.

The licensing guide booklet is available online: www.scta.gov.sa.
