It is the third consecutive time the company has been acknowledged with this prestigious honour. The 19th annual World Travel Awards gala event took place on April 30th, 2012 at the Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa in Dubai, and was attended by hundreds of travel executives from around the world.

Established in 1993 and described by the Wall Street Journal as the travel industry’s equivalent to the “Oscars,” the World Travel Awards recognize excellence in travel. Votes are cast globally by fellow industry professionals to acknowledge the most important aspect of the tourism industry – exemplary customer service.

“Our crew is focused on delivering a great vacation experience and personalising the service they provide to each and every one of our guests. In fact, this year marks the ten year anniversary of our ‘Gold Anchor Service’ programme, which is the framework for delivering the Royal Caribbean International experience. Our guests consistently tell us that this type of special interaction with our crew and the exceptional service they receive creates memories that last a lifetime and are the reason they keep coming back to us,” said Helen Beck, Regional Director, International Representatives, EMEA, for Royal Caribbean International.

Royal Caribbean International recently ended the third and longest season in the Gulf on a high note with nearly all sailings fully booked. Brilliance of the Seas is now sailing a series of new seven and twelve night Norwegian Fjords, Arctic Circle and Baltic itineraries departing from Amsterdam and Copenhagen. For the forthcoming winter season a newly revitalised ship – Serenade of the Seas – will replace Brilliance of the Seas and offer vacationers seventeen sailings, departing every Monday on seven-night United Arab Emirates and Oman itineraries from January through April 2013.

The enhancements to Serenade of the Seas will deliver on the global cruise line’s Royal Advantage, a commitment to provide guests with the industry’s most innovative cruise ships, exciting destinations and superior Gold Anchor Service for an extraordinary cruise vacation.

“We are delighted to receive the award for the Middle East’s Leading Cruise Line for the third year running and would like to thank all the travel industry professionals who voted for us. Wherever and whenever our travel partners and guests experience one of our ships and service they become passionate about cruising with us,”
Beck concluded.
