Macau plays host to the all new Asian Business Aviation event this week, where 12 of the world’s leading business aircraft models will showcase at the Macau Business Aviation Centre at the international airport. Gulfstream will show the G150, G400 and G550 at the two-day event during 10-11 June, together with a G200 provided by Hong Kong-based Asia Jet. Hawker Beechcraft is showing the Hawker 4000, 700XP and a Hawker 900XP, the latter provided by Macau-based Jet Asia, which is also displaying a Bombardier Challenger 601 on the static. Embraer is showing the Lineage 1000, which makes its Asian debut. Bombardier is showing a Global Express XRS and Cessna, an XLS.
The ‘Business Aircraft in Asia – Buyer’s Guide’ conference, taking place in the Florence Room of the Venetian hotel from 0900 hours on the 10th will address: What you need to consider when buying your business jet, taking a close look at mission profiles, hours flown, typical number of passengers to be carried. Large and ultra large jets will be tackled first, followed by mid size and light jets. The update to the programme reflects that fact that all the leading OEMs are keen to talk up the market and the specific characteristics of their aircraft programmes to this special end user audience.
Bill Shira, Vice President, Marketing & Sales Support, Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation and Jean-Michel Jacob (Vice President, International Sales, Dassault Falcon Jet joins the original line up of speakers from Airbus and Bombardier in the long range category. The mid-size light jet category meanwhile is represented by Justin Lee Firestone, President Asia Pacific, Hawker Beechcraft; Lee Li, Vice President, Sales Embraer China and Robert Hollander, Sales Director Asia Pacific, Cessna Aircraft Corporation.
Reed Exhibitions China has organised the event in close co-operation with the Asian Business Aircraft Association. It is a b to c event, reflecting the fact that 90% of new aircraft sales in China are made to private individuals. In addition to industry delegates flying out to Macau, Reed Exhibitions will also be drawing in delegates attending Global Gaming Asia – G2E Asia, the world’s largest gaming event, which is running in parallel in Macau this week. G2E Asia is expecting 4,500 delegates, including casino owners and many of the region’s high net worth individuals.
