Pan Pacific Hotels Group partners with SiteMinder to expand online bookings

International hotel management company, Pan Pacific Hotels Group, has signed with online hotel distributor, SiteMinder, to connect its Opera Central Reservation System (CRS) to major, global, online distribution channels.

Based in Singapore, Pan Pacific Hotels Group owns and/or manages over 30 hotels, resorts and serviced suites with over 10,000 rooms in Asia and North America including those under development. The Group comprises two well-known brands: Pan Pacific and Parkroyal.

SiteMinder will provide a connector between Pan Pacific Hotels Group’s Opera (ORS) Central Reservation System and third party hotel booking sites around the world including Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, Wotif, Booking.com and Agoda. This will allow Pan Pacific Hotels Group to control their own online inventory including dynamic rates and availability straight from their CRS while receiving instant delivery of online reservations directly back into their CRS.

SiteMinder’s Business Development Manager for Asia, Kevin Tatem, said: “The SiteMinder interface with the Opera CRS means SiteMinder will automatically adjust all Pan Pacific’s and PARKROYAL’s online inventory every time a reservation is made on the various booking sites. This improves efficiency for a property, negating the need to manually re-key online booking reservation emails which, in turn, saves time and reduces the risk of receiving over-bookings.”

The Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Pan Pacific Hotels Group, Kevin Croley, said: “The SiteMinder interface allows us to seamlessly integrate our Opera Central Reservation System, which has been aptly named ‘PANTHER’, with online travel agents we work with, giving real-time access to inventory and assisting us with rate parity. Our partnership with SiteMinder will go a long way to improving efficiencies and streamlining online bookings and reservations as we grow both our Pan Pacific and PARKROYAL brands and more fully engage with our customers.”
