NokScoot offers ‘Best Job in Thailand’ to successful applicants

Innovative social media contest recruits travelers to fly free from Bangkok to Tokyo.

Bangkok – NokScoot invites its fans and social media influencers to compete and become one of 10 lucky travelers the airline recruits to fly free from Bangkok to Tokyo as part of its ‘Best Job in Thailand’ campaign.

Contestants who are passionate about travelling should put their courage and passion on display when introducing themselves in unique, quirky and fun filled videos that capture their personality and wanderlust.

Selected winners will fly economy class with a guest for free to Tokyo on NokScoot, with complementary accommodation provided by Expedia, plus receive an additional THB 15,000 in pocket money from NokScoot. While in Tokyo the new recruits are expected to report back on hidden gems and once-in-a-lifetime experiences they come across in the Japanese capital.

Successful recruits must be willing to shop, discover, explore, eat and make friends with the Japanese while sharing their experiences on Tokyo’s chic, urbane lifestyle with an adoring crowd,” said Yodchai Sudhidhanakul, CEO of NokScoot. “We expect them to generate considerable buzz on social media and heightened curiosity about visiting Japan, and we can’t wait to welcome them onboard NokScoot to help them begin this adventure.”

To ‘apply’ for the job potential applicants should first like the NokScoot Facebook page, then create a unique video introducing themselves and pitch the airline on why they should be considered for the Best Job in Thailand. When uploading the video clip onto their own Facebook or Instagram account applicants are reminded to set the post to public. They must also tag @NokScoot so its judges can find the post (if not included, application will not be accepted), and add the #NokScoot hashtag for good measure.

NokScoot will operate daily flights on the Don Muang-Narita route from June 1, 2018 using Boeing 777-200 wide-bodied twin-aisle jets. Configured with a total of 415 seats, the 777 offers 24 Business Class seats and 391 Economy seats. Passengers can customize their travel to suit personal preferences, such as a variety of meals selection, preferred seats and additional baggage allowance as they wish.

NokScoot is the offspring of Singapore’s Scoot and Thailand’s Nok Air and carries the award-winning DNA of both airlines. Last year it enjoyed robust revenue growth, up by 44% from 2016 to THB 5.6 billion (US$17.9 million), carrying 37% more passengers to 1.1 million, while boosting its cabin factor to 87%, eight percentage points higher than the previous year.

Winners will be selected by a panel of expert judges from NokScoot with the results announced on June 15, 2018 on NokScoot’s Facebook page.
