Lee Stephens, the new General Manager of MSpa International has several years of experience in spa management and consulting and the ability to balance between the finance and business aspects of a wellness and spa organisation, alongside the need to reach out to clients and guests on a spiritual and emotional level.

BANGKOK- MSpa International, the leading spa management company in Asia, has announced the appointment of Lee Stephens as General Manager. A respected spa and beauty industry leader with 19 years experience to his credit, Lee will lead MSpa’s continued growth in the region and beyond.

Originating in Thailand in 1999, MSpa International is the spa division of Minor Hotel Group and is renowned for innovative concepts that exceed guest expectations across the brands of Anantara Spa, Mandara Spa, Aequalis Spa, AVANI Spa and the Individually Tailored Spa Collection. Constantly evolving and with expertise in all spa-related avenues, MSpa International has a portfolio of 40 spas across Asia, China, India and the Indian Ocean, the Middle East and Africa, and continues to expand to international acclaim.

Lee, who is British born, has been based in Asia for nine years and has held a number of key roles within the industry. Most recently he was Managing Director of Sol Spa Services, his own successful spa consultancy in Hong Kong. Prior to establishing Sol Spa Services in 2009, Lee oversaw the operations and business development of some of the most recognised spas and skin care centres in Hong Kong and was instrumental in the growth of the spa division for the Paua Group.

Joining Paua in 2003, Lee took on the role of Director of the group’s collective spas in Hong Kong, which included the Elemis Day Spa, The Beautiful Skin Centre, and the Victorian Spa at the Disneyland Hotel. Before his arrival in Hong Kong, Lee travelled the globe working with leading luxury hotels and cruise lines including Cunard, Royal Viking, Holland America Line, Celebrity and Crystal as well as the Spa at Atlantis in Paradise Island, Bahamas.

An enthusiastic and determined professional who realises the balance between the finance and business aspects of a wellness and spa organisation, alongside the need to reach out to clients and guests on a spiritual and emotional level, Lee is able to integrate his understanding of cultural diversity and accrued years of travel experience into all the projects he undertakes.

Delighted to join the MSpa team, Lee commented, “I am looking forward to taking MSpa from strength to strength. I believe that being a Thai company enables MSpa to draw on Thailand’s innate ability to nurture people and use this unique quality to develop and grow the business. MSpa has a wonderful team of people and in today’s competitive market this is essential in taking the Great to Greater.”

MSpa’s philosophy of In Touch, In Motion and Inspired resonates with Lee and is what attracted him to the MSpa team.
