The main goal and focus of the BAH Executive Committee during their term is to further develop tourism by working closely together with other tourism partners, mainly Brunei Tourism.

“We are delighted to see that tourism has indeed grown and developed over the years in Brunei. This is due to the hard work and efforts by all tourism players in the Sultanate especially Brunei Tourism who has dedicated itself to promoting Brunei to the international market through various marketing initiatives,” said BAH President, Mohammad Irwan Goh.

“Together with the Executive Committee of BAH, we are very excited with our plans to further develop tourism and these include lobbying with Brunei Tourism and Royal Brunei Airlines on an extra flight from Kota Kinabalu, encouraging the development of careers within the hospitality industry amongst the youth in Brunei and the setting up of a kiosk at Brunei International Airport in order for guests to communicate directly with hotels of their choice upon arrival,” Mr. Goh added.

Other initiatives in the pipeline include for the first time ever, a Hospitality Charity Ball that is scheduled for the end of the year whereby part of the proceeds will be donated to a selected local charity and part of the proceeds will be injected into BAH in order for the association to have the support to strive to reach its objective of growing and developing tourism.

“It is indeed vital for all the hotels in Brunei to unite together as much can be achieved as a team,” concluded Mr. Goh.
