Pradeep Kumar Gyawali has been appointed as Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation. Mr. Gyawali has assumed responsibility of a minister for the first time. Born in 1962, Minister Gyawali has been elected as an MP from constituency 2 of Gulmi from Communist Party of Nepal United Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML).
He is the Central Working Committee member, Coordinator of the Department of Culture, and Secretary of the Department of School of the Party.
Mr. Gyawali, known as `Shitbindu` in Nepali literary field, has been involved in various social organizations such as Ringeswor Campus, Nepal Kidney Sangh, Human Rights Commission etc. He has wide understanding in and sound knowledge of Nepalese tourism.
