NCLU launches course seven – How to sell NCL

Agents have an added incentive to complete NCLU’s course seven as NCL is giving one student the opportunity to travel on its newest and most exciting Freestyle Cruising ship – Norwegian Epic.

The seventh course – How to Sell NCL – gives practical advice to help agents identify customer needs, match customers to the right ship and highlight the benefits of Freestyle Cruising.

Students putting their new selling skills to the test could reap ‘epic’ rewards, as all students, who have passed course seven and sell an NCL cruise by 28 February 2010 will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win a seven-night Caribbean cruise on Norwegian Epic*. Agents gain additional entries into the draw with every NCL cruise they sell prior to the closing date.

The new course coincides with NCLU’s first birthday on 1 December. Since it launched the site has developed to include a social networking forum, a virtual student union, a blog and games.

“Reaching its first birthday, winning a key industry award and signing up more than 3,000 students are huge milestones for NCLU,” says Stephen Park, General Manager, NCL UK. “The last six courses have been focused on building agents’ product knowledge about NCL and Freestyle Cruising, and now we need to turn this knowledge into tangible business outcomes – sales and commission over the key ‘wave’ selling period.”

And in a modern twist on a classic, NCL has developed a ‘Top Deck’ game which enables agents to play a virtual game of Top Trumps with the NCL fleet.
