Navtech, Inc., a leader in flight operations software and services, has signed an agreement with Milan-based Neos Airlines. Navtech Charts will support Neos’ breadth of leisure flights to southern Europe, Russia, Africa, Middle and Far East regions, as well as Caribbean, Mexican and Brazilian destinations.
“Navtech has a long history of supporting the European airline industry and we’re delighted to expand in Italy with Neos,” said Mike Hulley, Navtech CEO. “We look forward to working closely with them and using their feedback as an integral part of our continuous improvements to our products and services.”
Neos operates out of a main base at Malpensa International Airport in Milan, with hubs at Bologna and Verona airports. The airline will be using Navtech’s new and widely acclaimed format for Charts, which features a unique design built in accordance with research from Human Factor specialists and data gathered directly from pilots. With a focus on simplicity and ease of use, both Terminal Charts and Enroute Navigation Charts are designed to give the best operational support to the airline pilot during all phases of flight through intuitive symbols and presentations of altitudes. Neos’ flight crews will find easy to read depictions of take-off and landing minima on the aerodrome charts.
