Singapore Changi Airport handled more than 2.78 million passengers in the month of May this year, exceeding last May’s passenger traffic by 6.8%. More than 100,000 passengers passed through Changi Airport on a single day after the Vesak Day weekend on 14 May.

There was also a surge in volume during the weekend of 27-28 May, which marked the start of the annual month-long June school vacation for local students. Daily passenger traffic exceeded 100,000 on both days.

The first five months this year brought a total of 13.87 million passengers through Changi Airport,

up by 9.7% from the same period last year.
