PHUKET, Thailand – A fun filled afternoon and evening awaits families on 24th March, the first day of the Supersports 10 Mile International Run 2018 Phuket Presented by Thanyapura, as participants in the 500m Fun Run and 3 Miles run will enjoy lots of fun activities at the start/ finish line. The Kids Zone opens from 16:00 and includes activities such as face painting, there’ll be lucky draws and delicious bites available from food trucks, and to wrap-up the evening there is a free post-race concert for all runners, headlined by Modern Dog.
“The first day of the two-day Supersports 10 Mile International Run 2018 Phuket Presented by Thanyapura includes lots of fun activities for kids and families, finishing with an after race concert and Modern Dog performing. The first day this year will be a Run Festival and already thousands of people have signed up,” said Miss Siraporn Wattana, Vice President of Marketing, Supersports.
The 500 metre Fun Run starts at 17:00, as the afternoon cools, at Thanyapura’s athletics track, followed by the 3 Miles at 17:15. The quiet lanes and green surrounds on the 3 Miles course make for a fun and pleasurable run in the late afternoon, avoiding the heat and experiencing some of Phuket’s most beautiful inland scenery.
The top three overall in the 3 Miles category and the first winner in the 500 metres category will be awarded at 18:00 with the post-race concert starting at 19:00.
On the following day, 25th March, thousands more will compete in the 5 Miles and 10 Miles, starting with the 10 Miles at 06:00 followed by the 5 Miles at 06:15.

The Supersports 10 Mile International Run 2018 Phuket Presented by Thanyapura expects to attract 4,000 runners from around Thailand and overseas, and will offer the largest running event prize purse in Phuket.
Entries can be made online, or offline at Supersports stores, New Balance shops or Thanyapura Sports Club Reception. Entries close 17th March or when all slots are sold.
