HONG KONG – MGM has garnered five awards from influential publication Human Resources Magazine in Asia on October 6 at the “HR Innovation Awards 2016”, an affirmation to the Company’s excellence in creating a greater workplace for its Golden Lion Team with emphasis on work-life balance and talent cultivation. As an integrated resort enterprise with prominent presence in Macau, MGM strives to encourage a balance of life and work for team members, as well as continuous development opportunities to create great moments together.

The “HR Innovation Awards Gala” took place at Hotel ICON in Hong Kong on October 6. This prestigious awards ceremony brings together industry leaders to celebrate excellence in the HR profession, recognizing individuals, teams and companies for outstanding achievements in people management and strategies among key regions in Asia. MGM entered into the top five finalists in seven categories among 150 entries, and was awarded in five categories: three Gold Medals in Excellence in Employee Development, Excellence in Employee Work-Life Balance, and Excellence in Organization Development, while earning two Bronze Medals in Excellence in Retention Strategy and Excellence in Workplace Wellbeing.

The Human Resources Magazine is Asia’s leading source of HR-related news to help senior HR managers do their jobs better through its monthly magazines, daily email newsletters, website and suite of targeted events. With the belief that our employees’ well-being is equally important to their career development, MGM is committed to help our team members grow as leaders and to reach their full potential. We have hosted a wide array of staff and family-oriented activities to encourage work-life balance among our employees. We have also implemented the Employee Assistance Program which offers 24-hour hotline counseling service and one-on-one in-person counseling service for team members and their family members to overcome adversity. The MGM Volunteer Team, formed in 2010, consistently organizes memorable events that encourage team members and their families to serve the community together. “Haircut for Senior Citizens,” “Love Moments @ Grande Praca,” and “Culinary Fun Day” are some of the signature programs hosted for persons in need in the community; we have completed over 5,800 hours of community services in 2015 alone. Meanwhile, in terms of talent development, we have accumulated over 2.4 million training hours since 2007, through more than 1,000 different training courses, including two pioneering, intensive training programs “Management Associate Program” and “PRIDE Program,” both launched in 2014.

Mr. Grant Bowie, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of MGM China Holdings Limited, said, “We are honored and grateful to be recognized by one of the region’s most prestigious, professional HR publication. Our team is the most important part of the Company, and this award is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our HR team, always striving to create an optimum working environment for our team.
