The Beijing International Tourism and Travel Market (BITTM) sponsor World Tourism Marketing Summit (WTMS) to take place in Nanjing, China which begins Monday November 22 2005.

400 senior travel and tourism executives from China and all over the world as well as Chinese ministers and government officials and representatives of international tourism organisations will gather in Nanjing to discuss issues of promoting international travel and tourism.

China has been named world’s fastest growing tourism market and the participants of the summit will be able to see firsthand China’s massive potential for outbound tourism. With so many countries receiving Approved Destination Status (ADS) from the Chinese government, the battle for the Chinese traveller begins.

WTMS will highlight and discuss the most recent developments of outbound Chinese travel. Rising Star Exhibitions, organisers of the Beijing International Travel and Tourism Market (BITTM) recognise the importance of events such as WTMS, Nanjing, which emphasize on the importance and the unlimited potential of the Chinese outbound market.

BITTM is China’s only business to business exhibition, focusing exclusively on outbound travel. It is expected to attract 20,000 government officials, industry professionals and press from all over China.

“The whole world wants a slice of China’s huge, growing and increasingly liberal market,” – said PATA Managing Director of Strategic Intelligence Centre Mr John Koldowski.

Stanislava Blagoeva-Duschell of Rising Star Exhibitions commented: ” The recent interest towards the outbound of China and the Beijing International Travel and Tourism Market 2005 has been overwhelming. Six months before the event we have over 80% of the floorspace booked and confirmed. We are also working closely with our offices and partners in Beijing to ensure the presence of the Chinese buyers at the event in April 2005. Marketing the international travel and tourism product to China is the fuel in the constant growth of the departures from the destination.”
