MANATHAI Surin Phuket wins big with global Category Design accolade at World Luxury Hotel Awards

Located in a lively upscale beachside area on Phuket, the elegant 66-key boutique resort, just steps away from one of Phuket's most stunning beaches, is also the perfect base to explore the island's many attractions.

MANATHAI Surin Phuket edged out global competitors to be crowned the world’s best “Luxury Design Hotel” at the World Luxury Hotel Awards, held at the St. Regis Doha in Qatar on 29 October 2016. 
 
The awards, now in its 10th year, recognizes luxury hotels in over 60 award categories and is voted for by the public. In celebration of the decade anniversary, the World Luxury Hotel Awards designed a limited edition, 24 karat gold-plated trophy for its winners. 
 
“Through design, guests can gain a deeper understanding and sense of place. Providing an authentic experience of a destination is one of our pillars. This award is a great honour for all of us that MANATHAI Surin Phuket,” said Christoph Berger, Chief Operating Officer of MANATHAI Hotels and Resorts, who was on hand to receive the award. 
 
Blue-and-white patterned tiles throughout MANATHAI Surin Phuket pay homage to Phuket’s Peranakan Chinese heritage, while vibrant fabrics recall the artistic heritage of Thailand. Steep gabled roofs and “kanok” naga statues further reiterate the Thai essence of destination. A base colour palette of black and white set the contemporary tone of the design, enlivened with lively splashes of sand and sea hues. 
 
Located in a lively upscale beachside area on Phuket, the elegant 66-key boutique resort, just steps away from one of Phuket’s most stunning beaches, is also the perfect base to explore the island’s many attractions, including championship golf courses, the historic Old Town, and water-based excursions including day cruises, snorkeling and scuba diving.

To mark the occasion, MANATHAI Surin Phuket is offering a “World Luxury Award Package” for bookings made before 24 December 2016 for stays before 31 October 2017. Those staying 2 nights are offered a room upgrade, whilst those staying for 4 nights will also enjoy a free one-time dinner for two at the resort’s signature Pad Thai restaurant.
