Majestic Princess homeports in Taiwan

Princess Cruises’ Majestic Princess Homeports in Taiwan after Completing Grand Asia Voyages between Shanghai and Singapore.

SINGAPORE – Princess Cruises has announced Majestic Princess’ homeporting season in Taiwan, following two sold-out 14-day Grand Asia voyages between Shanghai and Singapore. Majestic Princess is now embarking on the return leg of the Grand Asia voyage from Singapore visiting Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong (late night call), and Busan before ending her journey in Shanghai on 25 March.

Majestic Princess will then sail to Keelung in Taipei, Taiwan where she will homeport for the first itme until July 2018, offering guests 3- to 7-night sailings with a choice of more than 20 cruises visiting Japanese ports including Okinawa, Ishigaki, Nagasaki, Sakaiminato, Osaka, Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Busan in South Korea. The highlights are the Spring Flower sailings on 26 March and 1 April where guests can experience the beautiful spring blossoms. Majestic Princess will then return to Shanghai before her deployment to Australia from September 2018 to March 2019.

The 3,560-guest Majestic Princess’ arrival at Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore is her first visit this year since her maiden call here in June 2017, before commencing her homeporting season in Taiwan. She will visit Singapore again in September 2018 on her repositioning cruise to Australia.

Bookings for the Taiwan homeporting sailings are only available via travel agents. Mr, Farriek Tawfik, Director Southeast Asia, Princess Cruises said, “We recently introduced these new sailings in Taiwan to travel agent partners in Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia who have shown keen interest in these new cruises. Our Asian guests are also keen to try out new ships and this is a great opportunity for them to try our newest and most luxurious ship Majestic Princess”.

The onboard offerings on these sailings will also include ‘night markets’ which are quintessentially-Taiwanese that features a wide array local knick-knacks and souvenirs. Majestic Princess also offers facilities and amenities that appeal to Asian guests. The ship has the largest duty free shopping onboard any cruise ship, with nearly 1,100 square meters of luxury boutiques. In addition to a Chinese Specialty Restaurant, it also has a noodle bar; dim sum bar; karaoke suites; an indoor swimming pool and other facilities catering to the Asian guests.
