Korean Air has won top honours in the TIME Readers’ Travel Choice Awards 2006 as the Best First/Business Class Airline and the Best Frequent Flyer Programme for its Skypass scheme. The South Korean flagship carrier beat strong international competitors and gained overwhelming support from the readers of TIME magazine to win these categories for the first time. Korean Air was also ranked second in the Preferred Airline category.

“This independent validation demonstrates the success of Korean Air’s drive to deliver excellent service in flight.

Last year, we were ranked among the top three in some of these major categories and this year, we made it to No. 1. This demonstrates Korean Air’s growing recognition in Asia,”
said Mr. Jong-Hee Lee, COO & President of Korean Air.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank TIME readers for choosing Korean Air and to assure our customers that

Korean Air will continue to strive our best to achieve excellence in flight,”
said Mr. Lee.

The award presentation ceremony will be held on October 12, 2006 in Singapore. TIME Magazine conducted the TIME Readers’ Travel Choice Awards 2006 poll from April 24 to June 25, 2006. Questionnaires for this survey were inserted in the Asia editions of the magazine.
