Jetstar Asia reintroduces self-service kiosks at Changi Airport

Pre-COVID, more than 75 per cent of Jetstar Asia customers were using the self-service options citing ease and convenience of the system.

Singapore – Jetstar Asia customers at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 1 will once again be able to check-in using the self-service kiosks and automated bag drops, after they were reinstated after being suspended during the pandemic.

As the first Singaporean low-fares carrier to introduce self-service check-in and automated bag drop options in 2014, the re-introduction of the kiosks at our counters will help trim lines and streamline the customer journey.

Pre-COVID, more than 75 per cent of Jetstar Asia customers were using the self-service options citing ease and convenience of the system.

The self-service options also enable ground teams to be re-deployed to support other areas of the operation, such as assisting passengers with document checks and improving the customer experience.

In total, 10 check-in kiosks and four automated bag-drops will be available. The reintroduction of the self-service kiosks come as the airline continues to ramp up their operations.

This week, Jetstar Asia resumed services to Surabaya and announced additional flights to key Malaysian and Indonesian ports to support increasing demand ahead of the Hari Raya festival.

Jetstar Asia services to Denpasar and Jakarta will increase to five and 14 weekly services, respectively, pending regulatory approval, while customers will be able to choose from 21 services a week to Kuala Lumpur from June.
