ITBeurope, a network of European ICT associations based in Vienna, Austria, has extended its outreach to South East Asia. IT Promotion with the it-promotion website, Bangkok, ITBeurope`s partner company, helps European ICT businesses to ease their way to Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and China, and supports companies from these countries in their market rollout in Europe.
A first initiative to promote Thailand as an ICT market as well as a regional hub for South East Asia will be launched from May 8 to 13, 2006 with TiiCON (Thai International ICT Convention), an ICT congress combined with a trade show and a business mission to five major software parks in Thailand.
TiiCON was initiated originally by SIPA Khon Kaen, one of the regional offices of Thailand`s National ICT Organization, the Software Industry Promotion Agency (SIPA). TiiCON 2006, however, will be arranged for the first time as an international meeting point for ICT business through the joined force of SIPA Khon Kaen, IT Promotion and ITBeurope.
TiiCON 2006 is also one of the reasons for the visit of a high ranking political and ICT delegation from Thailand led by SIPA to i.convienna 2006, where its members will speak at both the political and strategy event at Vienna Intercontinental on February 13, as well as at the business meetings on February 15.
The Thai delegation will also participate in the 1:1 matchmaking sessions at i.convienna and visit ICT companies and ICT related technology parks in Vienna.
