InterContinental Resort – Pattaya’s finest

It’s good to see a hotel group taking its club lounge facility seriously, ensuring it maintains firmly anchored as a top quality premium guest experience.

PATTAYA THAILAND – The resort city has seen a dramatic rise in recent years of the number of international hotel brands making their debuts. In the highly competitive hotel world, with brand loyalty and segmentation key factors, offering premium customers an outstanding quality product is essential.

It’s good to see a hotel group taking its club lounge facility seriously, ensuring it maintains firmly anchored as a top quality premium guest experience. In many hotels it has become a tick box affair. The new Club InterContinental lounge in Pattaya is far from that. It works to deliver a sense of occasion. It’s about making guests happy and feeling spoiled.

The InterContinental Pattaya Resort, has certainly managed to do that, with design by P49, the recently opened elegant lounge offers Club guests a superb space to call their own. The lounge features a bold use of black and white. Soft colours have been used as an accent only. The effect is calming and cool.

The resort has been well established on the headland between Jomtien and Pattaya Bay for over 12 years. The resort was rebranded the InterContinental in 2016. The development of the InterContinental resort since then has seen a multi-million Baht renovation to create an elevated luxury experience including the introduction of both Club rooms (Club InterContinental Suites) and this Club lounge.

The new Club provides panoramic views across the  Gulf to Koh Larn. The cool interiors cleverly focused on creating the best environment possible for relaxation and carefree enjoyment.

Breakfast in the lounge is a very civilised affair. The selection is unparalleled. Try the eggs Benedict -simply sublime. There’s no need to rush; relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast until 11 am.

I enjoyed a superb afternoon tea which is served‪ from ‬14:00 to 16:00 daily. It was served with fine bone china and tiered silverware. Finest teas from TWG Tea Company were elegantly presented by the Club’s attentive team.

Accommodations

Accommodations at Club InterContinental are also special. The P49 design brief has also be carried through to the Club Intercontinental Suites.

With great locations and views – the hotel hand picked the very best accommodation for Club guests. The suites and villas provide peace and seclusion. Each includes high quality amenities such as gourmet coffee maker and TWG teas, high thread-count cool bed linen and super comfortable bathrobes and slippers. Luxurious bliss.

The resort has 156 rooms, 42 of which are designated Club InterContinental Suites. They are the ultimate in luxurious leisure. Spacious and beautifully designed with large bathrooms including huge bath tubs and separate walk-in rain showers. Harnn luxury soaps, shampoo and lotions are provided. Each suite has its own spacious balcony with private sun loungers.

In addition two oceanfront villas are available with private pools with one or two bedrooms. Located right on the beach front, they have unsurpassed views of the Gulf of Thailand and nearby tropical islands. Each pool villa is designed as a private luxury home and privacy is assured.

General Manager of the InterContinental Pattaya Resort, Jacqui Cuthbertson, responding to a question on the number of Club rooms currently available said, “The resort is well positioned to meet the demand for luxury accommodation.

“One third of the inventory dedicated to our Club Rooms and Club InterContinental experience is aligned with that demand and we are already planning to increase this given their success to-date, ” she added.

“The elevated offering of personalised butler services, exclusive access to lounge services and a range of Club Room types captures the needs for the luxury traveller.

“Pattaya offers a wide range of accommodation and it is clearly an increasing market that requires the more dedicated service of luxury that InterContinental is very well placed to meet, ” she commented.

The lounge has been designed with the most discerning guests in mind and in my view has perfectly captured the services and facilities that match their needs.
